Teenage Pregnancy
Rewind
If only you could turn the clock back. Go back to the moment when you did what you shouldn't. Because you could. Because you were in love. But love changes when you find out you're pregnant. And you're trying to sort out the mess but your mum's telling you your tea's ready. And you know that you have to go to school tomorrow. When Craig and Emma talk together their stories overlap. But separate them and their monologues reveal that loving someone doesn't always mean you know them. Or can trust them. This performance/workshop can be offered as a half day (1-2 hours) or a full day session, and covers the issues around teenage pregnancy. We explore risky behaviour including binge drinking, peer pressure and where to get help and advice.

ASBO Girl
Katie has an asbo but is she bovvered? We listen in on her story as she stands outside the school gates waiting for her best mate Gia to come skive with her. Is she your typical cocky chav? Or is there another side to this girl hiding behind the facade? An extremely powerful and heart rendering piece that raises the question of nature verses nurture, and is it just too late for some people to change? Offered as a half day or full day workshop.
STRESS AND OCD
JAMES
James is sitting his final GCSE exams and is absolutely terrified. This
is all made worse by the fact that although extremely bright, he has
OCD. This monologue takes place in the exam hall where we see James
fighting the urge to count the desks, straighten his pens and how to
cope with him sat on a crack. We meet him in his frustration and feel
the tension as we wait alongside him for the exam to begin. A comic
insight in how an unseen illness and stress can completely consume
someone's life.
This workshop/performance looks at how stress and things such as OCD
can cause impact hugely on young people. We focus on stress relieving
excersises, why stress happens and where to go for help.
Knife Crime
Is this a dagger, which I see before me?
When Craig and Elise (name change?) meet, two worlds collide. He's the geek who's top of the class and gets up early every morning to go swimming. She's the babe who's fancied by half the class and gets up early just to get off the estate. But when Sir casts them as the lead roles in Shakespeare's 'unlucky play', they start learning more than their lines. Craig discovers what it's like to be part of a gang of mates and Elise finds that success comes at a price. But neither of them learn, until it is too late, how closely they resemble the doomed Macbeths. Is this a dagger, which I see before me, The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee...

"... the actors were excellent as was your facilitator and this made it so easy for all of the pupils to become involved. The mood that was generated was breezy, positive and also matter of fact. The balance between drama and discussion time was perfect in my opinion allowing sufficient time for pupils to talk and to also have some ideas debated and expanded. Brilliant ,theyare
skilled in working in this way.
